The People Behind The Show

Totem is created and hosted by us,  Jamie Yuenger and Piet Hurkmans.
We’re an international couple living in Holland. Jamie, an American woman, founded the legacy film company StoryKeep Inc. which produces documentaries about family histories. Piet, a Dutchman, worked for decades as an award-winning filmmaker, executive TV producer and leadership coach.

The Totem Team also includes Diantha Parker, a journalist and media consultant who worked at The New York Times and NPR, where she produced and edited All Things Considered, Weekend Edition Saturday, and Talk of the Nation, and was one of the creators of Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me. Caroline Hadilaksono is Totem’s audio producer, a passionate audiophile, designer and illustrator who left Indonesia at age 12 and moved to L.A. to live on her own.

Caroline Hadilaksono

Caroline is a designer, illustrator and audio producer who loves stories. She loves making things that resonate with people. When she’s not illustrating in her studio while listening to podcasts, she goes outside to interview people and produce audio stories.

Caroline was Born in Indonesia and moved to Los Angeles to live on her own when she was 12. After art school, she worked her way through New York City’s freelance jungle. In 2018 she came to Maine to study audio documentary and never left.

Before freelancing as a designer & illustrator, she co-founded A Good Company. They make all sorts of stuff for the web, but you probably know them best from The League of Moveable Type.

As a designer & illustrator, she spends her time making everything from children’s books to murals, to educational science apps.
